SCUMA: The Man Who Fell to Earth

SCUMA: The Man Who Fell to Earth

SCUMA: From the Depths of Hell

In the Munster Hunters episode covering All-Star Munster, Captain Terry took the Sea Lily out to international waters and we put on our Self Contained Underwater Munsters Apparatus to deep dive in on guest star Dort Clark. The raspy voiced actor played the angry father that threatens Herman when he tries to make contact with the Martians.

Dort spent his acting career playing smaller roles and bit in television and movies. He did pop up in a movie that stars legendary musician David Bowie. The Man Who Fell to Earth debuted in 1976 and Dort plays a waiter.

Thomas Jerome Newton (David Bowie) is an alien who has come to Earth in search of water to save his home planet. Aided by lawyer Oliver Farnsworth (Buck Henry), Thomas uses his knowledge of advanced technology to create profitable inventions. While developing a method to transport water, Thomas meets Mary-Lou (Candy Clark), a quiet hotel clerk, and begins to fall in love with her. Just as he is ready to leave Earth, Thomas is intercepted by the U.S. government, and his entire plan is threatened.
